(could not see if anyone posted a like idea so just gonna throw this here just in case)
I’ve been thinking about how important information is in Deadlock. Knowing where people are, watching jungle, setting up ganks — it all matters a lot. But right now, the only real way to gather info is just running around or constantly calling things out.
It feels like something the game relies on, but doesn’t really support directly.
So I was thinking it could be interesting to have a character built around gathering and controlling information. Not really a damage-focused character, more of a roamer/support that plays around vision and map awareness.
Some rough ideas:
I just think information is a big enough part of the game that it could support having one or two characters that are especially good at it, instead of it being something everyone just kind of does on the side.
Not saying it needs to be exactly like this, just throwing the idea out there. Curious if anyone else thinks something like this would fit.

- A trap ability, kind of like a landmine. Something you can place in common paths, jungle entrances, or near objectives. Could be hidden or camouflaged and either reveal enemies, slow them, deal massive damage, or just give info when triggered.
- Some kind of camera or vision tool that lets you see into fog of war. Mainly for checking areas before pushing or avoiding getting ganked.
- Maybe something like a mobile “veil” that blocks vision. You could throw it down to cut off sightlines or deny the enemy information in certain areas.
