I clicked hero sandbox as a match was found and it abandoned

I went to play a game on my lunch break joined hero sandbox through the character selection screen as my game was loading and it abandoned the match and banned me from playing for a few hours. this was immediately after the minion pathing hot patch is there any way to fix this or have it reverted? i would appreciate any and all help thank you. my steam name is cutekitten2009
