Hybrid Items / New Item Category with some examples

Hybrid items will take a new category in the store, they're colourless (or double/triple coloured if desired i suppose). They only fit in flex slots, and are only made from component items. Flex slot only should encourage more group play, or at the very least provoke more defensive play from teams being ratted.

Store prices will be the same as the regular store, 500 1200 3000 6500.

Slot pressure is an important part of game balance so these should typically be very expensive to start. The intent is to allow you to specialize in a unique way (at a cost) but keep choices interesting if you choose to go this route.

Examples:

Alacrity:
Cost: 6500 souls

Combination of [Enduring Speed] and [Fleetfoot].

+150 Bonus Health
+1.6m/s Move Speed
+3 m/s Sprint Speed
+2 Health Regen
Combines the passive effects of both items, and the active component now gives 30% fire rate in addition to the previous active.

Spirit Blast:

Cost: 6500 souls

Combination of [Spirit Strike] and [Melee Charge]

+25% Melee Damage
+15% Weapon Damage
+100 Spirit Shield Health
+1 Health Regen

Passive from Melee Charge is retained.

New Passive: Every 20 seconds, the next Charged Melee will make you immune to the effects of parry (the user being struck can still protect themselves) and hit all enemies within a 5 meter radius with a Charged Melee that deals Spirit Damage equal to your Melee Damage.

Devastator:

Cost: 6500 souls

Combination of [Soul Shredder Bullets] and [Bullet Resist Shredder]

+100 Bonus Health
+5% Bullet Resist
+5% Spirit Resist
+10% Bullet Lifesteal
+10% Spirit Lifesteal

Your bullets reduce enemies Spirit resistance by 12%. Duration 3s. Double spirit lifesteal from this item for enemies afflicted by bullets.
Your abilities reduce enemies Bullet resistance by 12%. Duration 3s. Double bullet lifesteal from this item for enemies afflicted by abilities.

Behemoth Magazine

Cost: 3000 souls

Combination of [Titanic Magazine] and [Ammo Scavenger]

+ 125% Ammo
+ 20% Weapon Damage
+ 100 Bonus Health

Passive: Enemy kills (minion or other) immediately restore 10% of your maximum ammo capacity to your current magazine.
Hero kills permanently add +1 spirit per kill


I'm sure there's about a million more ideas people could make up but I think this would add an interesting 'luxury' tier of items that you can pay for to free up a slot.
 
These seem interesting for hyper lategame builds but it also may be adding additional complexity by having additional passives etc.

My thought would be that a lot of the same functionality would be achieved by just allowing players to purchase additional item slots, but this might be preferred just because of the opportunity for more fine tuning.

I digress. Cool either way!
 
The ability to create combo items is indeed nice to add some level of complexity and upgradability to the items whilst not taking extra slots so you have a more specific build for each character.

I find myself with too many souls with no room to upgrade any item with no more slots a lot.
This would be a great solve to that!
