Greetings to all concerned. This is my character concept for Deadlock with fully developed lore and play style.

Background
“The Black Sun is a dark cult whose main goal is to create a new world order. In this they must be aided by otherworldly beings who have come to this world; but only if the cultists grant them complete freedom and fuel their powers.
It sounds crazy, but the leaders of the Black Sun agreed to these terms. In return, the cult received a powerful source of otherworldly energy, with the help of which the cultists decided to create a ruthless weapon - a hybrid of human and pure mystical energy, knowing no mercy to the opponents of the Black Sun.

It is impossible to say exactly whose body the cult members used in the creation of their brainchild. But one thing is certain - this person will not be able to show them anything, because, as you know, the dead do not talk.
In the course of the ritual, the cultists summoned a sparkling portal over the breathless body, which spewed a large amount of dark matter of unknown origin onto the corpse. After a while, what had been a living person a few hours ago became a dark blob of pure mystical energy, only remotely resembling a human being. Black Sun's plan had succeeded. But it succeeded too well.

The dark creature had wiped out almost all of the cultists participating in the ritual. Only a few members of Black Sun managed to escape. Taking the alias Traitor, the creature seeks the meaning of life in only two things: the destruction of the Black Sun and the search for information about who Traitor was before the rite, why he was chosen and how he was connected to the arrival of otherworldly forces in this world. And Traitor is ready to achieve these goals at any cost, by any means, without wasting his strength on worrying about both for others and for his own.

Progression
Base weapon damage - +2
Base melee damage - +3.4
Base Health - +28

Skills
If necessary, all skills except (1) can be canceled at the space bar.

  1. The Ritual Blade

Slashes with his blade, dealing damage instantly. After that, the victim of the blade gets a bonus to the damage dealt, in addition, bullets fired under the buff reduce the enemies' resistance to bullets.
You must activate the skill twice to hit yourself. If an ally is close, Traitor will strike the ally with his blade when he points it at the ally.
  • Damage to self/ally - 100.
  • Weapon damage bonus - 20%
  • Bullet resistance reduction - 6%
  • Action time - 6 seconds
  • Recovery time - 24 seconds
Progression
  1. +40% souls for killing enemies/neutrals/creeps under this buff; +30 damage increase on self/ally
  2. -8 second reduction in ability cooldown; +30 increase in damage to self/allies
  3. 4 seconds after buff expires, the Traitor/ally has +75% to regenerate health from any source; +30 increase in damage to self/ally

  1. The desecrated monument

Traitor sucks the life out of himself and his allies who are unlucky enough to be near him, and transforms into an invulnerable monument that hits the ground with pulsating waves around him in a small radius. When the skill is activated, an aura with a radius of 9 meters of purple color appears around Traitor. This aura indicates the area of effect of the skill. If an ally is in the area of effect, a special sign will appear on their screen and they will take damage and donate their health to the monument. The ally must move out of the aura to avoid giving health. After only allies that agree with the loss of health remain in the aura, you must press the skill key again. After a short time, Traitor will transform into a monument. During the transformation, Traitor is able to move until he completely transforms.
Each wave deals damage to enemies, while the enemies themselves have reduced movement speed and cannot activate new skills in the monument's area of effect.
The damage and reduced movement speed of the enemies depends on the number of allies who were sucked health out at the beginning of the skill's activation.
When the skill ends, Traitor gains invulnerability for a while.
  • Damage dealt to yourself - 75
  • Damage to allies - 45.
  • Transformation time - 1.5 seconds
  • Monument life time - 7 seconds
  • Skill recovery time - 26 seconds
  • Slowdown in the area of effect - 20%
  • Spirit damage per second - 25
  • Slowdown bonus for each ally - 5%.
  • Bonus to spirit damage per second for each ally - 3.
  • Time of temporary invulnerability - 5 seconds
  • Range of the skill - 9 meters
Progression
  1. +50% health regeneration from any source during invulnerability; +25 increase in damage to self/allies
  2. +5 base spirit damage per second, +5% base deceleration; +25 increase in damage to self/allies.
  3. +1 bonus to spirit damage per second for each ally, +1% bonus to deceleration for each ally, +5 additional spirit damage to base weapon damage for the duration of invulnerability; +25 increase in damage to self/allies.

  1. A suspicious puddle

The Traitor turns into a puddle of dark matter. In this state, Traitor moves faster than normal. While in puddle form, you can jump on an enemy or ally. If the jump is unsuccessful, the Traitor returns to his normal form.
To jump on a hero, you have to crawl close enough to him, point at him, and then activate the skill again, after which the Traitor will wrap itself around the enemy/alliance like a vest.
If the Betrayer jumps on an ally, it will act as a human shield, absorbing all incoming damage and giving the ally a buff to their shooting speed.
If the Traitor jumps on an enemy, the enemy will take periodic spirit damage. In addition to this, the enemy will receive a penalty to their firing speed. If allies decide to fire at an enemy riding Traitor, they will deal increased damage. It should be understood that the Traitor will also take damage from allies, but not increased damage, but standard damage.
If the Puddle-shaped Traitor dies, its revival will be accelerated. If the Traitor survives, he will be thrown to the opposite side of the chamber and his health will be restored to the state at the time of skill activation.
  • The time it takes for the puddle to hit the victim - 3 seconds
  • The time life a puddle form on the victim - 7 seconds.
  • Skill recovery time - 25 seconds
  • The speed of movement in the form of a puddle - 8,5 m/s
  • Health of the traitor in the form of a puddle on the victim - 250.
  • Allied speed bonus - 10%
  • Spirit damage to the enemy per second - 20
  • Penalty to enemy speed - 10%
  • Bonus to enemy damage - 10% of the base damage of the ally's weapon.
  • Rebound range in case of survival - 5 meters
  • Revival time in case of death - 25% of the Traitor's revival time at the moment.
Progression
  1. -7 seconds of skill recovery
  2. +100 health as a puddle on the victim
  3. +30 spirit damage to enemy per second, +5% penalty to enemy speed

  1. Mystical disintegration

Traitor enters a dark form. In this form, Traitor is covered in a dark haze and becomes a translucent blob of pure mystical energy, with no weapons or other skills available. In this form, Traitor hunts down unwary foes using his movement acceleration, ability to pass through small obstacles and thin walls, and lower visibility. To grab an enemy, Traitor must get close to the enemy and press the skill key again. The Traitor then grabs the enemy and disintegrates with him. They both die, with Traitor reviving faster than his opponent. If Traitor fails to grab the enemy, he returns to his standard form as if nothing happened. Traitor in this state is less visible, but not immortal, so he can die from enemies' weapons and skills, in which case revival will not be accelerated.
  • The skill's duration - 5 seconds
  • Movement speed - 10 m/s
  • Skill recovery time - 160 seconds
  • Revival time in case of success - 25% of Traitor's revival time at the moment.
Progression
  1. 300 additional souls if successfully used
  2. -40 seconds of skill recovery
  3. Extra health equal to 40% of Traitor's current maximum health for the first 60 seconds after revival if the skill is successfully used.

Very complex kit, really cool sounding too, but I dont think abilities that only hurt allies when cast on them could work at all. Mainly because of the possibilities for griefing, and just the infinite potential of bad interactions if used improperly, which would lead to an even more infinite amount of flame thrown towards the Traitor player. I think a simple fix would be to replace the "hurt allies" functionality with "hurt self" only. I get that the whole character's fantasy is centered around him..... well... being a traitor, but maybe another thing you could do to circumvent the potential griefing/flame would be to instead have his spell cause less negative effects on their teammates, like instead of dealing dmg, itd slow, or disarm. Or if it Does deal dmg to them, maybe make it so that they gain increased regen? like oracle's e from dota.

I've been thinking about it. But! If you think about it, you can harm allies on the same McGinnis if you place its wall incorrectly. Or in CS2, you can blind your teammates to the wrong timing. You can always harm - there would be a fantasy and a desire. This character was conceived by me as a character with constant risk to himself and his allies. And if everything is done correctly, the risk will pay off in full. Yes, this will make Traitor difficult, but at a high level of the game, a good player on it will be very appreciated. And trolls and people who harm allies can always be reported.

Thank you for your attention and time to my concept
