High Pings due SDR

Hello guys, first I hope everyone is having a great day.

I am writing because I'm having an issue with Deadlock MM. The Steam Datagram Relay is using Asian servers to connect, even though I am located in Europe. Actually not Europe, it's Turkey, but it is considered in Europe (I hope so).

When my friends open a lobby in Europe, the relay sends my connection to Asia first and then back to Europe. This increases my latency to around 600ms. Previously, when I connected directly to Europe servers (months ago, i cannot connect anymore), my ping was around 30–100ms. Now, even when I play alone, it stays between 200–300ms.

I have already tried changing my download region and using third-party apps to block certain routes(Server Picker), but nothing worked. It still connects asian servers (Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore etc.)

I had this earlier today, had higher ping than usual asked the lobby if this was shared experience was then told i was playing in the Asia servers although I myself am playing from the uk. I wasnt using a vpn and neither was the teamate i queued, eventually abandoned the game as it was unplayable.

not sure if its related, but im getting weird relay/matchmaking server behavior with vpn enabled
when i try to use vpn now, no matter what country, the relay always picks the same servers
even if i choose a vpn server from my own country, still get those same servers

using "net_print_sdr_ping_times" command on console (using vpn, server from any random country):

using "net_print_sdr_ping_times" command (without vpn):

vpn used to work flawlessly, but after todays patch or whatever the fuck, this weird behavior is happening now
