I was queueing for a match with two friends when we had a network issue warning in the top left (not a problem). All three of us remained in the hideout, moving around and interacting with each other, but after the network issues stopped we were placed back into separate queues as if we were alone in separate hideouts. We didn't notice until one of us found a match on their own and decided to take the abandon penalty rather than play solo. We noticed that we were no longer in a party together in the main menu UI, but we were still in the same hideout.
