The hidden king side seems to be significantly more disadvantageous.
First thing of note is the slanted shrines on the hidden king team can allow Vyper to infinitely slide on them so she doesn't use stamina to destroy them and more easily keeps Merc Mag up, compared to Archmother who's shrines are flat. This is a very big difference when playing as Vyper.
Second thing of note is that the Archmother's side has veils at the end of the stairways towards the shrines, these allow players to more easily defend the altars or retreat. Can be pretty significant for more burst or ambush based characters.
