I felt like Cadence - an unused Songstress hero, has so much potential but her kit - which is very team dependent and not quite fit with Deadlock so I suggest an alternative, a burst damage/healer. Here is their kit:

The stack could be a little too strong since it's burst damage (or heal), but I think the trade off is to ramp up by dealing damage is quite nice. While the other abilities job is to support building the stacks themselves, fitting with their job as a bard nicely.

Not sure that this skills is fitting for Cadence, so an alternative could be someone from Blackmore Academy, who got their scholarship (cause Blackmore seems like a parody of Ivy League schools irl) - someone who's different a bit compare to other kids in school ? Someone who's humble, kind but not naive due to their background (sounds a little bland but should be fitting within the Academy). Someone like:
