About Signatus Latin for the sealed because its easier to find names when you use latin

As you might know statues were used to seal ghost even in ancient times. Signatus is proof that this is no mere suspicion but an actually method for sealing evil spirit even though it requires much more then normal stone and a strong believe to do so.

Signatus is an evil being similar to ghost but able to effect the real world a lot more and to stop him he was sealed inside of a hero of his time who immediatly turned into stone after the ritual was finally successful and Signatus and his rampage was finally brought to an end. (the hero is in medieval armor)

Signatus' seal weakend over time meaning he could move but he still is bound to the statue and upon the maelstrom the seal weakened enough to finally move the statue and search for a way to get free from this seemingly statue before he was destroyed with it. While he does hate the statue he does know how to use the abilities of its former owner.

Ability 1 - Pierce|Roar

The Statue summons a spear made of holy light and charges forward (same distance as dash). If he hits someone he will stop moving and move the spear upward to present their victim to god.

Do an unholy roar dealing small damage to everyone around you and applying some debuffs.

Ability 2 - Holy Shot|Spectral Bite

The Statue throws a spear made of holy energy. The spear instantly hits everything in its way and pushes everyone hit a bit back.

The Ghost marks a spot with energy of death summoning a giant spectral jaw biting into enemies standing on top of it. summon is like viscous punch

Ability 3 - Free me

Upon using this ability Signatus changes from inhabiting the Statue to roaming around as the Ghost while being bound to the statue by a chain. like the forgotten from the binding of isaac
While this ability is active the Statue turns into an unmovable NPC with unstoppable. enemies are able to hit you and the statue to deal more damage
Only the Statue gains barrier while this ability is active and shares its health with you.

The ghost is able to fly.

This ability has a build up duration meaning it can be used whenever you want but the time you can spend as a ghost depends on how much is left from the ability.

Ability 4 - The Awakening

As you awaken your true power for a short time shoot with both the ghost and the statue while the ghost is hovering slightly behind the statue.
While this is active you count as 1 entity and use the first and second ability from the statue and the the ghost at the same time.


Ability 2 Spectral bite will spawn under the first person hit after the knock back or in the impact spot with a 0.75s delay this should be avoidable if you dash or slide down stairs
Ability 3 is automatically activated for the duration.
