Hero selection bugs out and shows only selected hero when looking at newbie recommended heroes

When selecting your hero during matchmaking the selected hero overwrites all newbie recommended heroes, changing your selection changes the overwriting hero.

Non newbie recommended heroes are not overwritten.

"Works" both on the matchmaking hero selection and in the sandbox hero selection.
