Nobody knows when it appeared or where it came from. You've seen it too, yes? That coin-operated fortune machine with the creepy puppet. Some folks say they've seen it wandering around town at night even, but if you ask me I think they just had one drink too many.
Zarov is a hero with abilities focused on predicting his enemies' demise, while preventing allies from suffering the same fate. His design would be obviously inspired by the stereotypical crystal ball reading fortune teller, especially the kind found on those vintage animatronic machines.
Weapon - Zarov wields a deck of tarot cards, dexterously flicking them at his enemies. His reload animation would be shuffling the cards between his hands.
Skill 1 - Read the cards - Zarov unleashes a burst of cards, dealing damage in a cone in front of him and applying a random debuff to each target. Deals more damage for each misfortune stack.
Skill 2 - Delayed Fate - Zarov traps target hero (allied or enemy) inside a crystal ball, rendering them unable to take action and immune for X seconds. Enemies trapped this way still accumulate misfortune.
Skill 3 - Misfortune - Passive. Enemy heroes in a radius around you slowly gain stacks of misfortune over time (up to a cap equal to the skill level). Every stack increases damage dealt by you, as well as give your attacks an 8% chance to bounce to a nearby target per stack.
Skill 4 - Third Eye - Zarov channels his mystical powers to reveal the location of all heroes. After a brief delay, he can teleport to any allied hero on the map. At high level, enemies near the teleport location receive stacks of Misfortune.
Overall, the concept behind this hero is someone who can stack battles in his favor the longer he stays in them, while also having the ability to rush to a teammate's side getting ganked and hopefully turning the tide by debuffing the enemies, and either trapping said ally briefly or a pesky enemy to facilitate escape.
