I think Tidehunter already has pretty good abilities for deadlock, he could be another tank/bruiser like abrams of k&m. Since we're doing eldritch abominations with viscous he could be from the same boat. But he's also a became a baseball fan when he arrived in new york. Maybe his favorite team loses all the time and his wish for patron is so they win big? and when he levels up, instead of he instead of talking about what fish he wants to eat, he talks about different things you can eat in new york, hotdogs, pizza, all that.
For his abilities: 1 could stay GUSH, or maybe switch to DEAD IN THE WATER, maybe even SPEAR OF MARS so he can pin people around
2 is KRAKEN SHELL, pretty iconic to him, damage block and on higher level status effect clear
3 is ANCHOR SMASH, nothing much to change there, aoe damage with damage reduction for enemies, maybe disarm on last level? Could be flavored as bat smash
4 is RAVAGE, but maybe change so the tentacles come out of him, last level could hit enemies who are hiding behind walls
