Here's my stab at an Invoker like hero,
Archaeology in the Deadlock world is different, there is a branch that researches old rituals and incantations to see if they actually do anything in the modern era.
One such person was studying an ancient relic from an unknown civilization found somewhere in southern Iraq the location of Sumeria one of the earliest civilizations in Human History. Miraculously when interacting with some unknown runes the relic seems to activate and launch the researcher across the room. Realizing they have the discovery of a lifetime they're taking the device to the Ritual to see if the Patron can unlock all the information the Artifact has.
Weapon: the artifact itself it shoots a magic projectile similar to Sinclair's.
Abilities: the artifact has three runes that when activated will cause a different effect when the Artifact itself is activated
1st Ability : PushRune
2nd Ability: Stone Rune
3rd Ability: Energy Rune
4th Ability: Engage
Each rune causes Engage to be a different ability, each rune can only be active once(No stacking), each combination of runes also is a different ability for Engage
Each rune also has a cooldown (Idea without understanding balance, each rune gains charges when fully upgraded, I'm not sure?)
Engage has a short cooldown and upgrades to Engage
Push Rune - Shoots a projectile that pushes everyone away from a spot and does some damage to enemies
Stone Rune - Creates a small wall (Much smaller than McGinnis')
Energy Rune - Lobs a fireball that creates a small damaging area on the ground
Push+ Stone - Shoots a fast moving projectile that does significant damage and pushes away enemies when hit
Push + Energy - A channeled ability that acts as a flamethrower for a short time, can hit multiple enemies
Stone + Energy - Creates a flaming boulder that rolls around and bounces off walls for a short time
Push + Stone + Energy - Creates a storm of rocks and lightning on a large spot that slows and damages enemies
Other Idea each rune gives a buff to you:
Air Rune : Increased move speed
Stone Rune : slight increase to bullet resist (maybe slows you?)
Energy Rune: slightly increases bullet damage
Let me know if you have any ideas for this, I'll be honest I didn't think super hard about everything I just wanted to get the idea out there.
