Vallory - The Knight
Vallory is a brave, tough, zealous knight character. She wears a suit of armour and holds a shield in her left hand. In her right she wields a shotgun with a long bayonet attached.
She should be good at supporting allies with a friendly target dash and shield. In lane she may suffer due to short range, but that is made up for with the ability to block and extra stamina gained through levelling up her passive 3.
Weapon Attack
Vallory’s main weapon is a short ranged shotgun with a large bayonet blade attached. In her offhand she holds a large shield. When right click is held, instead of zooming in she holds up her shield and blocks a portion of all damage dealt to the shield.
Ability 1: Chivalry
Jump to a targeted ally and land while blocking. Give yourself and the ally a small temporary bullet and spirit shield. Can be used on self to give the shields without a dash.
Level 1:
+ charges
Level 2:
- cooldown
Level 3:
+ shield size
Ability 2: Skewer and Roast
Lunge forward and stab with your bayonet. Any enemy heroes are impaled on the bayonet. If you have ammo loaded, fire a shot blasting the hero off your bayonet. While enemies are briefly stabbed, you can rotate up to 90 degrees to control the direction they are knocked back when blasted off.
Level 1:
- Cooldown
Level 2:
Reload on activation
Level 3:
+ Damage
Ability 3 (PASSIVE) : Bout
Attacks when blocking do not fire your gun, instead they cause you to slash with your bayonet.
Level 1:
+1 stamina
Level 2:
Increased block defence
Level 3:
Increased slash damage
Ability 4: Crucible
Hunker down and block a fraction of damage while the ability is channelling. Any CC applied to you while channelling is stored. When the channel is fully complete, explode into the air and deal damage to anyone nearby and in a cone in front of you. Any CC that was stored is applied to any enemies hit.
Level 1:
+ resist when channelling
Level 2:
- cooldown
Level 3:
+ slow anyone in the area while channelling
Notes
I'm not really sure how such a melee focused character would perform in game, but id be very interested in seeing! I imagine there are enough levers to pull on this kit to tune Vallory to an acceptable state. Let me know what you think!
