I thought it could be interesting to imagine how different parts of the Deadlock universe reacted to the arrival of magic, and the ways it might have reshaped businesses and everyday life.
One of the ideas I kept circling back to was how magical healing would impact the medical industry. With magic being faster and less painful, it seems natural that traditional medicine would start to fall out of use.
And from that I ended up creating this silly little character, a bitter old man who hates magic.
