[Hero Concept] Julia Letterman(With some drawings)

i'd like to preface this post with jmkyle53's post on The Reporter. around the time i was creating the concept for this character, they had posted something incredibly similar to what i came up and though it was pure coincidence, i thought that i'd try and direct some traffic there, since they made some incredibly detailed skills that are worth checking out! i'm more of a visual person than anything, so if abilities are what you care about, please please take a look at their post.

Julia Letterman is one of the many reasons why the New York Oracle is considered one of the best newspaper publications in the Tri-State area. Future vision tends to be a great asset when it comes to the business of getting to a story first, though it comes with its own slew of problems.

Those who know of her practice often question her morals. If you know a crime is going to happen, why not stop it? Not much of a story if there isn't a story to begin with.

As simple as future vision is, the Maelstrom seems to have blocked her foresight, and without knowing the outcome of the ritual, Letterman finds herself dying to know its conclusion. Good thing clairvoyance isn't the only reason she's one of the best in the business.

Weapons and Abilities (I don't know how to balance I just draw)

Blackmail - A burst-fire medium-ranged weapon that has 47 bullets per reload. It fires bullets in the same pattern as the Lorem Ipsum. 5, 5, 5, 3 ,4, 10, 10, 5. The bullets fired leave behind letters in the same way that Doorman fires locks. The gun is reloaded by tapping a line on the typewriter until it dings and a piece of paper falls out.

Flash Photography (1) - Channel the ability to deal damage in a cone in front of you and slow enemies caught in it. Fully upgraded, the ability can stun enemies who are facing towards you.

Early Bird (2) - Become quicker and gain stamina faster for a few seconds. Upgrades increase max stamina, and the final tier makes you unslowable and unstunnable against non-ultimate effects.

Sensationalize (3) - Target an enemy in range. The foe takes more damage from all sources and is revealed on the map. On final upgrade, half of the damage taken while under the debuff is applied again when it runs out.

Snapshot (4) - Take a picture of yourself, an enemy, or ally. The health, buffs, and debuffs can be swapped with your current health, or applied to someone else. The picture is saved between deaths. The health you receive is percentage based.

"I can't write that article if I'm dead."
"You're going to walk out on the biggest story of the millenia?"
"Suit yourself."
"I'll get that story without your help."
"If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I hate losing out on a good scoop."
"You're not getting credit when that article gets printed."

"Say Cheese!"
"They can't shoot at me if there's a giant blindspot in their vision."
"You get their best angle when you flash them with a giant light. By best, I mean worst."

"Before they notice what's going on, I'll already be gone. Oh, that rhymed."
"If you think I'm fast now, imagine how fast I'd be in a pair of running shoes."
"The faster I am, the quicker I can get to writing."
"If I couldn't run like this, I'd only be half of the reporter I am today."
"With New York traffic, sometimes it's quicker to get to places on foot."

"The more people try to hide, the harder you have to dig."
"All people are self-fulfilling prophecies if you poke at them hard enough."

"Oh wow, that is not your best angle at all."
"Did I just take a picture of a person, or a mess of mangled flesh?"
"I'm saving this one."
"Better hold onto this one. Just in case."

Doorman Ult:
"In all outcomes of the ritual, the death of your credibility is the one factor that will remain unchanged."
"You crave recognition because it's the only thing that has ever garnered you any respect in your miserable career. How long after gaining your powers did you wait before jumping at the opportunity to try and silence the reporters who used to laugh at you? People don't find your morals upsetting, Julia. It's you. And that ego of yours will be your downfall."

even that came from the idea someone else had of a guy with a haunted camera but I wanted a different skillset around their ultimate idea.

Awesome artwork and concept. I adjusted some of your ability ideas and added a few more.

(1) Flash Photography: Damages enemies in a cone area and stuns anyone looking towards you

(2) Early Bird: Dashes forward, leaving a trail behind her that allies can follow to move faster

(Passive): Gain a burst of movement speed when running towards nearby allies with low HP

(3) Witness Protection: Surround yourself with a Cosmic Veil (5m radius) that is visible to enemies. You and your allies will be invisible and receive healing while inside it.

(4) Sensationalize: Target an enemy in range to interrogate, revealing all of the target’s allies all around the map for a certain duration. If any of the enemies attacks you or your allies within the duration, that attacker will take burst damage and get stunned.

Now she has an identity and specialty as a someone who's great at disengagements
