FATHER, THE GODFATHER OF FISH

-Thought Process-
Honestly, I just love viscous's backstory how he comes from the sea and wanted to make my own but of course as a whale...person...thing...whatever he is, I love him and hope other people like him too. In all games I've played, I always opt for the more mobile tanky heroes (Yes I made a whale mobile) and I realised Deadlock doesn't really have one of those heroes yet who's tanky yet uses their movement to not only get in but get out. If you don't know what he's wearing in the image, its MEANT to be a striped suit. Numbers and stats haven't really been thought of but I did attempt to make him balanced and fun though so expect numbers to be off. I have thought of tiers for each ability but I won't do a super in depth tier system as his abilities are already decently complex themselves.

Father was not always this way, he used to be just a human like you and me. As a child, he never knew his parents, they thought they were too good for him and abandoned him in the depths of New York until a gang had found the crying infant laying in its abandoned pram, his body shivering from the cold night of the city.
They nurtured him back to health and as he grew older, he slowly climbed the ranks of this gang until reaching the very top. He was their leader in the gangs eyes, someone to not be opposed. To him? They were his family, they were the only people who had truly wanted him to succeed and for that? their bond would never be broken...
that was until one fateful day, his gang was going through usual routine of pedalling illegal matearial when they were ambushed by a rival gang. It was an unforeseeable attack, one that not a single member could've predicted. As such ambushes were...it was quick, ruthless and used to establish dominance.
Lying on the floor with all types of wounds from broken bones to bullet wounds...he cried. Not for himself but for his one and only family laying dead not far over from him. He blamed himself, HE should've saw this coming. For weeks the rival gang hadn't moved, hadn't attacked so why didn't he know?!
This thoughts plagued him into death and a deep seated guilt of losing the ones he cared for most because of his own failures. He lived on in a different plane, praying to meet his family again but it never came to be. before long, he was dragged from his spectral plane through the shadowline nexus under the bermuda triangle and into the world again as a spirit where he was forced into the body of a whale which had died from human caused injuries.
The whales body shrunk and turned more human until it became Father, a mixture of the whales hatred for what humans had done and his own desire to protect family stirred into a being who was partaking in the ritual to make all fish inedible to people and to gain dominion over every sea
At first it sounds like a silly, self-righteous reason but what he really wants? to have control over the Bermuda triangle so he has the possibility of seeing them again if they ever pass over through the shadowline nexus so he can give them a heart felt apology.
-Playstyle-
"Ain't nowhere you can run!"
- Due to fathers imposing 8ft 2 frame, he is destined to be a tank. However don't believe this means he's an easy target to pin down and if you do manage to corner him? he ain't defenseless either. I wanted to go for 3 main categories like deadlock does and I just tank, bruiser and mobile which is kind of basic but it suits my vision for him. Using water from the blow hole under his bowler hat, he can spray water over the area to submerge himself to move faster and be harder to hit. Then when he gets up close, he can smash down at opponents with his fishnet full of mines to deal heavy damage in an AOE. Early fight he might be a nuisance but in midgame is where he starts to shine. He's meant to be a snowballing type of bruiser as one kill can lead to another and another until the entire team is wiped. Of course as a gangster, he had many debts to collect which weaves well into his kit which is how he can sustain himself through the chaos. However, he doesn't come without weaknesses as while he has great single target damage with his high damaging abilities, his cooldowns are long enough to make him suffer in long term fights. The shorter, the better for Father

Primary fire - 'Ol Reliable
A basic Thomspon Submachine gun that Father beat some crook to nab with a killing 35 bullets in the magazine!
- Its strong up close but from afar the bullet spread and recoil makes it hard to hit things
- Gains 1.2x bullet damage upclose to a target and each bullet does 2 damage, a full clip being able to do 70 damage without the modifier and 84 damage up close
-Ability 1: Big Boom Slam-
Father finally uses that big fishnet of sea mines he's collected from the ocean to slam down onto enemies
-Father starts the game off with 5 mines in his fishnet and when the ability button is tapped, he slams down which deals 25 damage and consumes 1 mine from the sack, the AoE being a circle in front of Father
- each mine used makes the ability go on cooldown and each mine adds on 7 seconds to the cooldown
- If the ability is held, it uses up all currently stocked up mines to do a whopping 125 damage
- Charging the ability uses all the mines and they can only be recharged after getting a kill or waiting the length of the cooldown for 1 mine to stock back up
- after the cooldown, 1 mine is instantly added then it takes 5 seconds for each respective mine to come back
TIER 1- faster wind up time
TIER 2- -2 second cooldown addition for each mine used
TIER 3- can have up to 7 mines stocked up and - 2 cooldown for mines to recharge after initial cooldown
-Ability 2: Swimming with the fishes-
Father removes his bowling cap to reveal the blow hole on top of his head to then release a torrent of water ahead of him in a straight line
- The water expelled from the top of Fathers head allows father to dive down into and swim at 100% movement speed
- This water lasts for 4 seconds and width wise is 5 meters and length wise gets sprayed out at 15 meters ahead of Father
- When submerged, Father is still susceptible too damage and abilities but his hit box grows much smaller with only his top half being shown
- When Father emerges from the water, he is invulnerable to only damage for 1 second
- The cooldown on this ability is 18 seconds
TIER 1- length increased by 5 meters
TIER 2- Gain 1 mine when resurfacing (only works once for each use of second ability)
TIER 3- Allows the water sprayed to land on walls and Father is able to swim up and -6 seconds on cooldown
-Ability 3: Debt's gotta be paid-
Father hates having debtors excuses, he'll make them pay one way or another
- This ability is a passive ability and an active ability
- the passive ability is called a debt meter
- The active ability is called Paid in full
- The debt meter can be applied to enemies who are within a 3 meter radius of Father
- Stacks up to 5 are built up with each stack needing an enemy to be near Father for 1.5 seconds
- Each stack applies a passive soul reduction debuff to those afflicted with more stacks affecting the amount of souls the enemy can get
- 1 stack is 3% soul reduction, 2 stacks are 5%, 3 stacks are 7%, 4 stacks are 10% and 5 stacks are 15% soul reduction
- When an enemy leaves Fathers 3 meter radius, it starts a timer and depending on the stacks adds 1 second to the timer
- 1 stack is 1.5 seconds and 5 stacks is 7.5 seconds
- When this timer runs out, the soul reduction effects disappear
- the soul reduction does not effect souls collected from boxes or souls received from kills
Paid in full
- This meter fills up to 100 coins as enemies debt meters deplete
- Father gains 10 coins from 1 stack of debt depleted from an enemy
- when this bar reach 50, Father can receive a 10% damage boost which lasts 20 seconds and when the coins reach 100, Father can get a 20% buff on movement speed, damage and health but it lasts just 10 seconds
-Father can click this active ability when near an enemy with debt to forcefully take the money from them, instantly adding the coins to his paid in full meter
TIER 1- Gain passive 10% movement speed when an enemy is in debt
TIER 2- Paid in full reduced to 80 coins until max buff instead of 100
TIER 3- AOE around Father increased to 5 meters
-Ultimate/Ability 4: Mob Mentality-
He's gonna show you what the largest animal in the deep can do
- Father when this ultimate is activated goes into an enhanced state for 10 seconds
- This enhanced state reduces the cooldown on both Big Boom Slam [1] and Swimming With The Fishes [2]
- Swimming With The Fishes gets a 6 second reduction on the cooldown, dropping it to a 6 second cooldown
- Big Boom Slam gets a cooldown reduction on it's mines, cutting them down to just 4 seconds per mine used and 3 seconds for mines to be recharged
-Winding up the swing of Big Boom Slam is significantly shortened
- additionally, Swimming With The Fishes tier 2 ability now adds 2 mines back instead of one and killing a player also grants 2 mines instead of one
- Father now swims at 125% his base movement speed in Swimming With The Fishes for the duration of the ult
- Increases Father's Gun resistance and spirit resistance by 20% for duration of ultimate
