Lore :

Caelum grew up in the alleys of the Cursed Apple, another orphan swallowed by the factories and forgotten by the streets.

While the smokestacks choked the sky and ash fell like snow, he would lie on his back between broken bricks and rusted pipes, searching for stars no one else could see. The other children learned to steal. Caelum learned to talk to the constellations.

One night, as he slept beneath a dying streetlamp, something answered. A fragment fell, not burning, not blazing but silent. It landed beside him like it had been placed there. When he touched it, the smoke above him parted.

Since that night, faint lights follow his steps. Lines form where he walks. Shapes connect in the air. Caelum does not command the stars. They simply refuse to leave him alone.

Gameplay :

Caelum can take the vents like Rem and Calico.

Weapon - Sunlens : Caelum damages enemies over time with a constant beam of light that emanates from a magnifying glass.

Ability 1 - Star Shard : Deploy up to two falling star fragments. Hold the ability key to guide a shard forward. Release to anchor it in place for 20 seconds. When stopped, the star shard flashes and inflicts a slight burn on enemies looking at it. After improvement, star shards in line of sight of each other create a star link between them, enemies who cross this link suffer heavy damage.

Ability 2 - Astral gift : Caelum entrusts a star fragment to an ally. It grants him movement speed and lifesteal for a few seconds. After improvement, can also generate a star link. Can be self cast.

Ability 3 - Solar Flame : Caelum concentrates the sun's energy in his Sunlens to enhance it for a few seconds. The beam deals slightly more damage and spreads to nearby enemies. Caelum can shoot Star Shards to hit enemies in corners.

Ability 4 - Celestial Passage : Caelum Caelum creates a constellation corridor that accelerates allies movement speed and reduces the cooldown of non-ultimate abilities.

Actually a very fitting character to the world. Although I'm curious why Caelum started talking to the constellations. Is he also like a fledgling god similar to doorman that was just recently born in a human body and only recently activated his powers? Are the so called stars his god parents etc?

For me he is a simple child, he talks to the stars because he feels alone and he does not know why he feels a comforting presence there. Some can interpret religion, others the presence of his probably dead parents or even the stars themselves which I imagine as somewhat divine beings in the world of Deadlock. All his powers comes from the star shard he's keeping on his back. I imagine him having in-game voicelines during which he speaks with the stars and no one else hears them except him so everyone thinks he's talking to himself and that he's a little weird or even scary even though he doesn't want to harm anyone.
