[Hero Concept] Amalgam - My take on the concept of Wrecker, an abomination employed by Fairfax Industries

The spawn of an extraplanar entity in contact with Eldritch Tactical Solutions, the paramilitary arm of Fairfax Industries.

A horrid offspring among many "Brothers" and "Sisters" of a being simply called "Mother", herself supposedly being a "Little Sister", Amalgam is a simple-minded killing machine summoned by ETS into battle as a harbinger of carnage, her most notorious exploits being in the fields of North Ixia, earning her the moniker of "The Butcher of Ixia".

ETS and Mother are seemingly connected with the strange briefcase carried by Pocket.



Abilities

Croak
Amalgam lurches a distance forwards, stops and then releases a blast that damages enemies in front of her; like Billy's Bat Bashdown she attacks sooner if you release the button before she fully dashes.

Repulsing Embrace
Amalgam latches onto an enemy or Trooper and throws them in the direction of the crosshair, dealing damage on impact to them and enemies they collide with, also knocking them backwares.
When fully upgraded, you can also toss your allies without damaging them.

Mother's Gifts
Amalgam is locked into place and begins rapidly extruding tentacles in front of her, causing continuous damage.
Killing Troopers with this ability spawns Tadpoles, which follow Amalgam around and attack enemies; killing heroes spawns more Tadpoles.

Ultimate (Passive) - Filial Supplication
Growing larger and more horrific with every upgrade, Amalgam gains additional max health, weapon and melee damage and resistance to slowing effects.
Sticks and stones will break their bones!


Ultimate (Active) - Rally
Amalgam will command the Tadpoles to move and stay where the crosshair is pointed, activating again will make them follow you.


Weapon - Matriarchal Proxy
Amalgam inflates its vocal sac and fires a burst of shots at medium range, appearing not unlike Pocket's "Barrage" ability.

General Gameplay
Amalgam's base speed is slow, perhaps the slowest of all heroes, but she makes up for this by having great potential for endurance especially in the lategame, this in combination with her tadpoles and her second ability makes her superb at denying the advancement of enemies.
 
I assume her Repulsing Embrace is a skill shot? Whats the range of it?
I've mostly considered her having extra stamina to make up for her lack of speed to close the distance and have RE be close range for grabbing and a good medium to long range for tossing the enemy, long enough to easily put an enemy in the middle of your team or the smacking range of a tower, or atleast a good distance away to make them stop being a problem temporarily.

Ah, ok. I was gonna say. If that ability was long range, you'd be effectively creating another Bebop. Whether or not thats a good thing depends entirely on your feelings on Bebop. But if its close/point blank range, it could work as a lock on ability rather than a skillshot

Repulsive Embrace would be basically like a reverse bebop where you need to go to them instead to throw them away, I'd imagine players might get reflexes to either back off or quickly buy counterspell in Amalgam matches because theres only one reason that slimy ass frog is approaching you.
