[Hero] Blackwood: PIRATE - CUNNING - AREA DENIAL

Lore:

Centuries ago, during the Golden Age of Piracy, the Seven Seas were ruled by Cutthroats, Rogues and Bandits of all kinds, But none were as infamous and feared than Captain 'Ruthless' Thomas Blackwood.

Tenacious, cunning, and bloodthirsty, he ruled the oceans for decades with an Iron fist, uncontested, until his most powerful rivals banded together, and assaulted his ship on open waters. The battle that occurred was fierce and lasted for days, until Blackwood himself was left. Refusing to surrender, He took down as many as he could, before he finally succumbed to his wounds sustained in battle.

His body tossed into the ocean, there he would remain, deep within the darkest depths, until the First Maelstrom, when he was brought back from the dead, He found himself in a strange new world; Odd creatures, Undead spirits, and other Mystical beings walked the Streets of New York...

However, despite the circumstances, Blackwood, despite the circumstances he's currently in, seeks to rule the oceans once more, just as he had done for years before his death.

Hearing about the Patrons, Blackwood ventures forth to make that dream a reality...

great concept, but there are a couple problems:
gun- his gun really should not scale with spirit damage, it makes spirit build also have his gun decent, which is a big problem for balance.
ability 1:
minor- since his cannon functions as a movement ability it should be on 2
also it does way too much damage for an ability with 7s base cooldown. at 100 spirit its 305 base damage.
i think having the cannonball also deal damage to enemies and nerfing its damage would make it a movement/ combo ability that can also deal some damage, but the real damage will come from the rest of his kit.
ability 2:
burst damage dot damage and resist shredder for both bullet and spirit at level 1? i think its a bit overkill. i think removing it and adding it to tier 3, replacing it with the +2 charges would make it better.
ability 3:
again too many effects on tier 1 its a better Vindicta stake that also deals damage. i think removing the movement silence and and putting it at tier 3 instead of the stamina debuff, makes it a more fun ability with more counterplay.
ability 4:
i like it. i like the idea of being rewarded for being more accurate. tier 3, its more of a flavor thing, but what about replacing it with -100% weapon accuracy like doorman bell, because they have been hit with a giant force.

overall i very much like the idea and the art, good job op!

You do make good points, however, I do need to clarify some things about the kit.


1st ability is sort of made to be a bread and butter of this kit, as in, his main source of damage, that's why I have had it's damage be high. Also, the Self-knockback thing was meant to keep him out of harm's way, that's why I have it in there.


2nd ability is mostly for defensive purposes, such as defending towers, or when being chased, among other things.


3rd ability, though... I won't lie, I did think it was quite scary with it's movement ability silencing effect, and so was the T3 upgrade, which would disabled stamina usage, but I was completely out of ideas as to what changes to make, so I went along with what I currently had. I'm glad you did suggest the T3 change, though.


Ultimate ability, though, I'm not so sure about 'being accurate'... the radius is quite high for both instances of damage, but hey, what do I know, maybe it is about accuracy, maybe not, I'm not entirely sure myself.
