just an Idea I had for a hero.
they would work in a somewhat similar way to old Rell and Kled from League.
tried to keep it short so it's not annoying to read through.

Gun.
their gun would be a crossbow with low fire rate and higher damage.
Melee.
The knight would use a lance for melee and it would have a longer reach but slightly longer animations to balance it.

I haven't thought as much about this ability but I was thinking it should probably remain pretty basic so something along the lines of a small AOE or DOT affect to imbue the crossbow with. this would probably do spirit damage.
2. charge/stomp
the 2 ability would have two versions, the mounted one and the dismounted one.
they would share a cooldown.
Mounted
a ramping movement speed increase that would work somewhat similar to Abrams' charge but you would stun the first enemy hit on impact. it would do melee damage.
Dismounted
a small AOE stun that would do spirit damage.
3. Spectral Steed
this is the ability that would get fairly complex and the one I am basing the design around.
this ability would mostly work as a passive but has an active somewhat similar in a way to shiv.
this ability should probably have a long cooldown so it can't be used multiple times in a fight normally.
the knight and the steed would share a health bar, split 60%/40% in favor of the knight.
when their health reaches the 60% threshold the knight dismounts and the steed disappears.
After dismounting the knight would need to fill up a resource bar that would work similarly to shiv's rage.
once the resource bar is full the knight can cast the 3 and remount, regaining 20% hp.
while mounted the knight would have higher movement speed and a small melee damage increase.
while dismounted the knight would have higher spirit and bullet resist and a small amount of melee life steal.
4. Soul Siphon
the ult would be a large AOE that steals max hp and would gain more debuffs as you put boons into it.
something like a small slow, or fire rate decrease.
this is mostly just an idea. nothing is super fleshed out and I don't really have ideas on numbers or what kinds of effects boons would give.
feel free to give ideas and criticisms.
