I want to start off by saying, I know haze's old circle of death ult was ultimately toxic design every time it was good. But the new ult feels utterly useless, it's so easy for people to walk out of due to its limited range that I'd rather just shoot them (which is almost always better). Plus its honestly really boring. So I would rather propose an alternate Ult; one based in Haze's lore as both an assassin and a Sandman.
So here it is:
New Ultimate - Dreamwalker
Dive into the mind of a sleeping or stunned target, finding where the very heart of their mind resides. There is only one thing to do... Kill. Or be killed.
Cooldown ~120 Seconds
Duration ~12 Seconds (maybe duration could be extended by spirit as before?)
Range 10m - can only be cast on sleeping or stunned foes (keeps it thematic and has a bit more skill expression than a basic point/click, gives haze a reason to build new items for her like knockdown)
Thoughts for potential upgrade options could be CDR reduction, Haze gets bonus lifesteal/resist inside the dream, Haze's basic and items cooldowns are reset when entering the dream realm, enemy/all items are disabled inside the dream (preventing metal skin cheese), if haze wins she gets full heal on leaving the dream, etc.
Simply put its an ult that pushes Haze pick/assasin playstyle even further, by forcing a 1v1 where haze thrives and allowing your team a 5v5 if team fighting. You could strategically isolate a fed enemy, building for survival in the ult while giving your team a better fight, or focus on culling the weakest member of the team on repeat.
I figure it would use similar tech to doormans Ult, transporting both players into the dream realm which is a physical location below the map. Don't know what the dream realm would look like or what stuff should be in it if anything (I generally think that the realm should be empty so neither side can simply hide behind/dance around cover).
But yeah, theres the suggestion, hope ya'll like it - but no matter what you do, please change haze's Ult to something more fun than it is now.
