I don't know any other causes besides me browsing the re-added builds tab in the heroes menu while queuing. Got in the match while I was still browsing.
40 seconds in I realized my config (that helps with my carpal tunnel) isn't working which requires me to go to settings and unbind a key to fix it.
So at the first time I died, I press escaped to go to settings but nothing popped up. It only showed this for a split second then back to the game
After the "Loading Builds" appeared, the soul count and item slots disappeared. Alt-tabbing or whatever other key presses and combos I did did not bring back the missing always-present UI elements (buffs and debuffs still appear when applied). Pressing tab works fine tho
The missing UI persisted until my next life and it only finally got fixed when I finally bought an item
But before I was able to buy, the build browser popped up which didn't let me buy items. It only sorted itself when I brought up the shop menu again (and was able to buy 15 seconds later when I was in the clear). Here's a clip

The escape menu/button still didn't work throughout the match tho. Whenever I press escape, game would freeze for a split second showing the cursor, then nothing happens. I don't know if this would persist in another match as I closed the game after that.
Only other thing that might've contributed to this bug is that I was browsing Abrams builds then got put in a game as Dynamo. I don't know, maybe some Source spaghetti have miraculously caused this bug with mismatching character build browsing
