General Heroes Type Suggestion

I don’t know if this is gonna spark some controversy, but hear me out.
I feel like this game just doesn’t have enough support heroes — especially the kind that work as all-rounders.
My girlfriend plays almost exclusively supports, and honestly, a lot of women do too — usually picking someone stylish, fun, or just appealing.

Right now, the best-designed Deadlock support, hands down, is Paige. She feels relatable to a lot of women players, her kit is supportive and super easy to understand, she’s perfect for beginners, and her ult is simple in concept yet effective — without being as hard to pull off as Ivy’s.
Ivy is definitely second place for me, but she can be a bit tricky to execute properly.

I hope I speak for many people and I personally enjoy playing every single role in such games and would love to see more supporting/enchanting heroes like Paige.

I 100% agree, i posted this once in a thread and received replies like we dont need mercy in this game, this game is unique as it is any heroes can be supports, we dont need hard locked niche role heroes bla bla , it was so annoying.

But the truth in the matter is theres not a lot of support heroes in deadlock, my friend had to main a seven stun support because thats the closest thing at the time that had a hero which kit resembled what can be a support.

Deadlock doesnt need healer heroes of course, weve seen what kind of problem healing items have done to the sustainability balance of heroes during laning phase, but we need more heroes like crystal maiden, lion, from dota 2 those that were made with the intention of attracting support players into the game. i'd hate if the next roster of heroes we get is just a variation of haze or just another variation of abrams again.

Speaking of Mercy, Victor's ult revives himself, what about a hero with an ult the revives a dead player? Probably wouldn't work for a lot of reasons, but the "healer" has multiple aspects that could be broken down and applied in a variety of interesting ways.

Maybe not a full-on enchanter or healer, but more support designs would be nice. Speaking from experience, supports are so much easier to design than carries IMO.

Reviving other players should be off-the-table for any hero design. Victor's ult works because it's tied to reviving a kit that's balanced around the concept of being able to revive in a fight. A mercy-style revive wouldn't work because it would allow kits that aren't balanced around being able to revive in a fight to do exactly that (carries come into mind, but even frontliners could get out of control with a revive).

You'd have to tack on so many downsides and markdown text in the tooltip in order to keep it in a somewhat balanced state, to the point that it might as well not exist. Even then, it would still remain very frustrating to play against for the other side of the interaction. It's far healthier for the game that a reviving allies ability just doesn't get added to the game.

Viscous, Dynamo, Ivy - all work as all-rounder supports.
They're being very careful around designing supports, especially enchanter-esque supports, for a reason. They usually end up being a balancing nightmare and/or unhealthy for the meta.
The issue with the supports in this game is that even the easiest ones are still pretty demanding to play.
