Geist's ultimate doesn't go off randomly

I have a hard time knowing when this ult can be used. Idk, it only works half the time.

I have problems with her 2 as well. Only seems to go off half the time! idk, maybe there's something I'm missing?

I am experiencing this also, with 4 set to instant cast.
