Game lag/FPS drops

I have stable 105+ FPS during games going as high as ~170FPS, however during late game I got that lag spikes/fps drops that were an issue before the patch from yesterday like 25-40s range FPS drops.

PC Specs: Windows 11
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
32GB RAM memory
Nvidia RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design (laptop version)

+1. performance was an issue before the 6/6/24 patch.

Windows 10.
i7-7700k.
16 GB RAM.
1050Ti.

i usually get around 60fps in cs2 on medium/high settings, but in deadlock, with everything low, and at 75% viewport resolution, the game struggles to maintain 40fps. sometimes it dips as low as 20fps during normal gameplay. at the start of the game when laning by myself, i can sometimes get upwards of 70fps, but these delightful moments are fleeting. :(

notable locations/theories of frame drops: being near The Curiosity Shop, the smoke barriers, or any hectic teamfight. i have noticed that any particle effect in both cs2 and deadlock dramatically reduces framerates. maybe it's my ancient hardware, but it might be something worth attempting to optimize.

Try these settings and also turn on LowLatency mode in Nvidia Control Panel (3d settings tab) if you have it available:

FidelityFX works very good to maintain image quality and coupled with Antialiasing gives for a rather good looking game. You can try Screen Space AO turned Off if you still struggling with the fps, but that will make the game look a little bit flat. Screen Space AO on Low is bad so you're better use Off or Med

Instead of turning on NULL from nvidia control panel, limit your fps to something your pc can maintain easily. It will give you lower input lag.

thanks, i already had everything set to low/off but was not aware of low latency mode. i have also set a very reasonable frame cap of 120fps. (double my refresh rate.)

i would prefer the game be able to run at 60fps at 100% viewport resolution like in counter-strike 2, but upscaling the image is an acceptable compromise until (hopefully) another performance patch? 🤞

My FPS when playing on Public Bot Match ranges from 60fps to 90fps

On Sandbox it ranges from 120fps to 200fps

My Specs:

Operating System: Windows 11
Intel Core i5-11400H
16GB RAM
RTX 3050 Ti

And my in-game settings are like this:

I wonder if FPS can be improved on my end, I could set it to Fastest but then it just looks blurry

Does NULL+fps cap work even better or no?

I watched this:

Check if changing to Vulkan has any appreciable effect on your performance. Additionally, your CPU has an integrated graphics option, you need to verify that windows isn't deciding to use the integrated chip for some reason. This is usually the case for in-development games, usually on laptops on lower-performance battery settings.

To check; go to Start Menu > Graphics Settings > Under Custom Options for Apps, click Browse > Browse to deadlock folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Project8Staging\game\bin\win64) > Select project8.exe and click Add.
Once it is added, find project8 in those applications, click Options and select your GPU.

Amd GPU user here, with horrendous frame drops, during game play I am getting somewhere around 60-80 fps but I keep getting frame drops and hard stutters down to 17 and below even in just the training area. Tried DX11 and Vulkan and have most settings turned down other than resolution. I do not use FSR in any game.

FPS is more stable since the recent patch, but it still has issues. After 20 mins in a match, the game can barely hold 50 fps no matter what happens on screen.
Every team fight ends up being a 20 fps stutter party and moving on the ziplines in the late game made my gpu crash 2 times.
My specs
