Was entering a street brawl match, and my game got stuck on the character splash screen whilst the match started for everyone else (I know this because I could still hear gameplay in the background, and moving my mouse showed me item descriptions as if I was hovering over them). I disconnected and rejoined, and this time I spawned in a seemingly random spot on the map, with the gameplay completely frozen and my game not responding to any inputs. The only option I had left was to just close the game and see if that fixed the problem, and when I tried to join a new match I was temp banned for 24 hours (even from bot matches).
