While playing two consecutive matches on the server, I encountered a critical issue during the second match. The game froze mid-match, and I was taken back to the startup screen as if the game was searching for a server. At this point, the game and PC became entirely unresponsive, with no way to interact or regain control. I attempted several troubleshooting steps, including trying to search online for a solution, but I was unable to exit the frozen game screen. A complete system restart was required to regain functionality.

After restarting my PC, I logged back into Steam and the game. Upon re-entering, I was notified that I had received a temporary ban and was placed in low-priority matchmaking due to the system detecting my disconnection, which I find unreasonable given the circumstances. The game did not allow any option to report this issue due to the complete freeze.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Play a match on a server.
  2. Experience game freeze mid-match (exact trigger unknown).
  3. Observe that the game returns to the startup screen while searching for a server.
  4. Game becomes completely unresponsive, preventing any further interaction.
  5. Restart the PC to regain control.
  6. Log back into Steam and the game.
  7. Receive a temporary ban and low-priority matchmaking status due to disconnection.
Expected Result:
The game should not freeze mid-match, and even in the case of a crash, there should be a way to report the issue without receiving an automatic ban or penalty.

Actual Result:
The game froze, returning to the startup screen with no ability to interact or report the issue, resulting in a temporary ban and low-priority matchmaking penalty.

Additional Information:
This issue seems to have been triggered randomly during gameplay, but I am unsure if it is related to my hardware or an issue with the game itself. Given my system specs, it’s unlikely to be a performance-related problem. Receiving a penalty in these conditions seems unfair as the system freeze rendered me unable to interact with the game in any way.
 
This happend to me too. So stupid when its the game not working as intended and the player gets punished having to queue for long queues and in lower quality games.
