Game freezes when unplugging headset dongle

I have to restart the game to be able to play it again. I assume this is due to changing the default audio on my computer, but not 100% sure.

OS: Windows 10 (please don't tell me I need 11...)
Headphones: Logitech G PRO X Wireless

I can provide more system details if necessary to help troubleshoot.
