Game Crashing On Startup since small update

Earlier today my game updated through steam and ever since, whenever i open the game, it shows the valve logo, and shows the starting loading screen and then crashes and closes. I have already validated game files, and reinstalled the game, along with restarting my pc.

UPDATE: Fixed by reinstalling windows, so i guess it was part of my windows install that was broken

My fix was to simply restart my pc lol
