Game/Computer Crashes Upon Finding a Match

A couple of weeks ago, I started running into this issue where my computer was powering down on it's own. I realized this was always happening just as some friends and I would find a match, and it has started causing me to be locked out of matchmaking.

Usually it's the 2nd or 3rd game of the night.
As soon as the match is found, my computer goes dark, audio cuts a moment later, and I'm back at my Bios.

Windows Event viewer doesn't even seem to be properly logging a reason for the shutdown.

This doesn't happen with any other games I own, and my PC has not had issues like this prior to late October, when I've seen others report similar problems.

When this happens, I get assessed a ban from matchmaking, and it's steadily growing in duration. As much as I'd like to play this game and be a part of the testing period, this really needs to be fixed.

Id suspect my hardware was the issue if it weren't for the crashes happening JUST as a match is found...

I would attach match IDs, but the games never actually start, due to my failing to join...

Got another crash, around 10:20PM. No match ID here either - this time, I was starting a bot match (3rd match in the play session.)

Video went, but I could still hear the game, then audio went, and then my PC restarted again.

Just like with searching for multiplayer games, the crash occurs exactly when the 'match found' sound plays. :(

This happened again, I played one bot match after the one that crashed above, then joined my friends for a game at 11. Match found, game and computer crashed.

I don't see any devs responding to these posts, which is super frustrating. I really like this game, I'd love to keep being a part of the alpha/beta testing, but I keep getting banned!

I'm banned until 5AM now... Another night goes by without being able to play. :(

Okay - did some stress testing today.

Crashing on game 2 or 3 was consistent - I could not start more than 3 consecutive bot matches without my computer shutting down.
As a bonus, I found that simply closing the game will sometimes crash my PC. No idea what that's about.

I saw on the forums here that other users having issues with the game crashing had older graphics cards - I have a Nvidia 2070 Super, and many of my friends (who are not having issues) have 30 or 40 series cards.

I also saw another thread here talking about a VRAM leak, so I wondered if just screwing with the graphics settings would help.

Setting graphics settings to the minimum seems to have fixed the crashing. I started 6 consecutive bot matches with no issues. I also found that performance got drastically better mid-match (where some folks have reported issues.)

I found the most impactful settings were to DISABLE the low latency feature, and to set upscaling technology to 'STRETCH'.
I have found that if up-scaling is set to FSR, FSR2, or NVIDIA DLSS, Deadlock will crash my entire PC on loading matches.
(Also, they seem to make my performance strictly worse.)

Maybe this is a 'well duh' moment for anyone who is familiar with these settings, but I tend to play games that aren't very graphically intensive, so I was surprised to find that the default graphics settings for the game were overwhelming my PC. (And granted, my GPU is pretty old at this point, I get that.)

Anywho - hope this helps others. Maybe this is the fix. I'll post here again if my computer continues to crash. :)
