Game becomes unresponsive when network dips

Just had an instance of my internet connection blinking out for a split second, and when it came back the game was totally bugged out. All characters were no longer moving but I was still seeing particles flying around and killfeed was going. I had to exit the match, and even the main menu was still really messed up. Couldn't put text into fields.

I had a similar issue -- when my internet got spotty/died and I lagged out, the game froze up and then completely crashed.

Same issue; was playing a game and froze on the bridge. I could still see some particle effects and the killfeed but I couldn't move.

Match ID: 938169. At around 2:25, nearly everything around me freezes (compsoter, Ivy) on my screen, but actions are still being fed through until I disconnect (you can see me move, look and dash in random directions).
