"Friends Only" filter on watch tab doesn't work at all

Friends only filter does nothing anymore and it's been like this for quite a few patches. For me, when I check friends only it literally changes nothing except only showing the highest MMR matches instead of the normal highest MMR + higher MMR matches on the later pages. Note on the images below, It's the exact same top MMR matches being displayed whether or not this box is checked, same goes for the next page. I had two friends playing currently in two different matches when these screenshots were taken, and none were shown.

With friends only enabled it only shows the first two pages of top MMR matches.
