Forced to update preventing rejoin ranked game in progress

Crashed during a ranked game and when re-launching steam forces you to update (and revalidate?!). I was gone long enough to cause the game to be safe to abandon. Please change your update pipeline to have the previous updates in the beta selector/properties of steam. Maybe just the 'previous' version like some other games do or since Deadlock updates so much maybe change the update pipeline to maintain the last 5 versions in the betas depot.

Also another reason this would be useful is tournaments. Patch was just released during a community tournament, the finals will be forced to these balance changes.

The part about a previous version beta branch should be posted as a feature request, you've added an unrelated feature request to a bug report (could probably go under New Client Feature Suggestions).

Curious how this would work in a live-service multiplayer title (tf2 doesn't have a previous version branch either), but better to let the devs answer that.
