Idea:

Quick Reload (Gun)
Tier 2
Increase Reload Speed by 30%
Increase Damage by 10%

Speed Reload (Gun)
Tier 4
Increase Reload Speed by 50%
Increase Damage by 20%
Increase Ammo Capacity 15%
 
These items are noob bait. We already have Active Reload and Melee Charge one of which instantly reloads your weapon. Many of the game's weapons already reload pretty quickly, so I unfortunately don't see the point in adding quicker reload. Are there any heroes you think would benefit greatly from your ideas?
 
I don’t think every item needs to be an S tier pick. I think Active reload needs a rework cause the window is too small and shouldnt have a cooldown in my opinion, and melee charge is melee oriented. I think every single hero would benefit from a faster reload.

I think anything that would offer an even quicker reload than Quicksilver would have to come with a downside, like Glass Cannon's cleaving away your max health.
I think the singular small boost you can outright buy is balanced out by the fact it's not too crazy and it takes a single slot. Perhaps they could balance it out a little more by adding a slight but noticable nerf to other stats.

But I disagree with increasing ammo or damage. Game already has enough items for doing that whether it be the types of bullets or the Magazines.
 
I think that something like this (a flat increase to reload speed) would probably be paired with a reduction in magazine size. I'm guessing that the devs haven't added anything like this because they want to keep a decent amount of downtime in which a player will be unable to shoot stuff - and a faster reload actively reduces this downtime. However, if this faster reload was paired with a reduction in magazine size - sure, there would still be less downtime, but the downtime would (presumably) be more frequent.

However, this would still fly in the face of the (presumed) design intent of the (mostly-)unmitigatable reload times being an active part of the character balancing and such.
 
Devs should be very selective about sources of reload. It's important to keep ammo management in the game.
At best, it should have some kind of skill check and/or conditional activation.
