When the game is about to end, just a few seconds before it's over, pressing the 'R' button triggers a replay of how you were killed. After the replay, all players are disconnected, but I remain in the game and can continue playing. When the final tower is destroyed, pressing 'R' allows you to stay in the game even after it has officially ended.
