Escalating Exposure specifically states that it increases "your" spirit damage, but it also increases the damage of teammates. This also goes against the usual precedent that amp is personal and resist reduction is universal. Additionally, Escalating Exposure also stacks separately with multiple sources.

The wording should be changed, It can be confusing I agree. Escalating exposure however has always just been a debuff that benefits the entire team.
