Can't give more info than that. They should have won. If there is a way to provide more info for bug reports please advise.

The pinned post suggests giving the Match ID and in-game time when the bug happened. You can get both by clicking on your profile pic in the upper right hand in the main menu to see your match history then clicking on the match. Match ID is in the corner and you can watch the replay to see what happened.

Was there a Kelvin in the match that happened to use his ultimate while the Patron was transforming?

There's a long-standing issue where the Patron can get stuck on the ice bubble and end up invulnerable due to never transforming. Example: View attachment 18119
