I couldn't find a forum post about this so I'm making one.
You can go watch match replays and see yourself doing a certain amount of damage, then go into the damage charts, go to the specific timeframe, and you will have less damage than what you just saw in game/in the replay.
I've seen this specifically on infernus, his 3 passive specifically. It will do a specific damage in game but in the end game stats its a couple hundred less, even if you include items that empower it and his 1 amp.
