As we explore more into the land of dreams, I think that we should dive deeper into this world with more characters. I immediately am reminded of peter pan and "neverland." The original play (based on a quick google search) debuted in 1904, perfect for the time frame. I propose a character similar to Captain Hook, a pirate from neverland.
The character can phase in and out of the world of dreams at will. For lore implications (granted the devs take this character concept and run with it), the pirate has a sibling who is stuck in a coma, which happens to be the one place he cannot enter. The pirate wants the patron to bring back their sibling. In the meantime they roam the land of dreams searching for someone who can help.
the character wields a cutlass and a blunderbuss that deals spirit damage on its final round.
their kit should revolve around sleep and stealing.
1. dreampool
Creates a whirlpool which slowly pulls in enemies and souls from on the ground. Can be activated again for the character to come out of the whirlpool and do a circular slash with the cutlass, dealing weapon damage to those in the whirlpool.
2. Pixie Dust
The character may cover themselves or a teammate in pixie dust, which grants the user a short duration of flight and spirit power.
3. Insomniac (passive)
recieve additional souls when denying enemy souls.
dealing spirit damage steals energy from the target, giving pirate a speed boost. once a percentage of spirit damage is dealt (proportional to the target's health), they receive Drowsy. Drowsied opponents receieve a major slow and recieve increased spirit damage.
4. Resting Tide
Release a slow moving tsunami that goes through walls. enemies hit by the tsunami are drowsied and add energy to pirate's energy meter.
ideally, this character plays into dealing large spirit damage to enemies with his gun and whirlpool, which slows enemies and buffs pirate. This character is gun/spirit hybrid with little heal.
None of this kit has to be final by any means, but I would love a peter pan inspired character (or really any addition to the world of dreams).
