Drain Life cancel not respecting hero-specific cancel key setting

With the new change to drain life, I wanted to change my cancel settings for Lady Geist to use a cancel key instead. As the spacebar is already used for, well, jumping, I also wanted to change the cancel key to a different key, so that I could still perform dash-jumps while draining enemies. However, it appears that the hero-specific cancel key setting does not work for drain life, instead using the default cancel key. If my default cancel key is set to spacebar and the hero-specific cancel key is set to F, the UI will show F as the cancel key, but F will not work, while the spacebar will work.
 
This isn't specific to just Drain Life, it seems like any channeled ability doesn't respect the hero-specific keybindings. Tested the same thing with Bebop's Hyper Beam and Kelvin's channeled abilities. Changing the default cancel key settings does work as expected.
 
It also completely disallows the usage of Ability Key cancel mode, since starting one drain also stops the other. Life Drain should be changed in a way where it won't stop the old drain if you have a target, meaning starting a new drain shouldn't cancel the old one.
 
I came across this issue on Grey Talon. I have his Charged Shot set to the same bind as the default Cancel Ability and that prevents me from using Charged Shoot during Rain of Arrows.
