placing the door is an absolute nightmare. i have a few suggestions:
1. door placement uses alternate map geometry that "approximates" (idk if correct term) all surfaces (like a complex stack of boxes becomes one big box) and ignores decorative elements (obv significant effort and could be bug prone). might be a terrible idea i haven't thought it through completely
2. placement range indicator shows on first door
3. surfaces are color coded to show valid vs invalid placements, colors follow colorblindness setting if enabled
4. CENTRAL indicator on HUD to show that first door is placed
5. Duration timer to show how long doors will stay up once both are placed
