Do we need Break status effect?

(Break effect = turn off passives)

As title suggests, do you guys think we need any or at least 1 break item in a game? I see utility of it to counter some characters such as Shiv or Abrams, and maybe Haze and Infernus.
My first idea was to add it as extra effect to Curse instead of purely new item.

What you guys think?
 
I would prefer this wouldn't be added to the game. Break in Dota has a similar issue where it is essentially a big "fuck you" to very specific heroes, without doing anything to a lot of others. For example Orchid Malevonance (Silence targeted hero) can definitely be a forced purchase against certain heroes, but it is effective against a wide array of drafts.

Break on the other hand is the equivalent of "Fuck Bristleback and Phantom assassin!1". It is part of the reason the effect is somewhat "tacked on" items and abilities that also function well without it. The effect feels too lobsided and binary to my liking.

A better approach, to me, would be to just balance passives around the idea of break not existing. Shiv is a complete catastrophy of a hero design that continues to embarass the developers. Bloodletting should have been reworked ages ago (alongside Rage). Abrams on the other hand is arguably one of the most balanced heroes in the game - strong, but with clear weaknesses. I find Haze similar in that regard. One would warrant "break", the others do not.

Shiv is the reason I made this post so 100% agree here. But as more character will be added the range of "break" use will increase as well. So maybe one day we will see something like "grudge" xD
 
Maybe they could just simply make Silence to include Break lol. So it can be a "fuck you" to all! Silence in Deadlock is on a shorter duration compared to Dota 2 anyways (at least on my observation) so I think it's reasonable. When Infernus is silenced, he doesn't ignite enemies (but doesn't affect enemies that are already ignited). When Shiv is silenced, his rage doesn't increase. Something like that.

I would much rather have the developers add proper balance adjustments to the few passive abilities that already exist in the game, rather than coming up with niche item ideas to combat them.

Maybe they could just simply make Silence to include Break.

We need this effect, but it should be a different one. You getting passives disabled and can remove it with unstoppable or remover, or effects like abrams ult upgrade. Also it should be a different item without any other effects, at least tier 3 building from 500 or 1250 item which weakens passive effects. Also it should disable items passive effects.
