Death Replay end

I was in a match and clicked on Death Replay by mistakenly, when I pressed ESC -> exit spectating. I was returned to the main screen and option to rejoin the match was there for like 2 seconds and then no options.
The game did not end as my friend was still in the game....
NVIDIA reflex was off that time so couldn't record anything|
