Crash when joining/starting game

Steps:
1. Wake computer from sleep
2. Launch Deadlock
3. Find match
4. On match join/early into the game, crash with a message about some file being corrupt or invalid (I forgot to screenshot the error, whoops)

Afterwards, when I try to launch the game it says "Downloading content (0%)" in Steam for like 10 minutes before it'll finally download. Sometimes verifying integrity works, sometimes it doesn't.

Crash dumps attached.

If the percentage does not change, this is a Steam issue. Try changing the download server in the settings.

- There are often problems with RAM, if all the previous steps did not give anything clear, then try to do something with it. For example, pull out one of the dice if you have several of them. Or limit the frequency to 2666 if you have very fast ones.
- Try changing the Render API to another one. From Vulkan to DirectX or vice versa;
- Be sure to disable all undervolt. You could do this with software like MSI Afterburner or similar. Undervolt of the graphics card or CPU acceleration may negatively affect the game;
- Write the full specification of your computer. It can be obtained through the Steam client. In the upper-left corner there will be "Help" -> "System Information". Copy the entire text and paste it into the spoiler so that it does not take up much space;

Thanks for the reply!

- I might try fiddling with RAM but I don't have this issue with any other games
- I can try swapping the render API and see if it persists, it's tough because it's intermittent
- No undervolting but good call out

I think there are problems with RAM

That would be really strange, I'm on DDR4, 3200MHz factory clocked, and nothing else seems to have this issue. I'll see if I can run some tests or something, but it's also intermittent - I played for a few hours last night without issue, no changes to my setup.

I am experiencing a similar thing. Straight crash to desktop when joining a game, no error message.

Tried jumping between fullscreen to borderless, no change.

Update: I have not been experiencing this issue anymore. I've gotten into the habit of joining as a spectator to a random match before trying to play, just to make sure everything loads in alright, and I don't know if that's helping or just coincidence, but I haven't had a crash in two weeks now.
