Corrupt Files Crash

Getting constant file corrupt crashes, even on freshly downloaded and installed game.

This has been an ongoing issue for several months for many players.

Game is impossible to launch and indicates "downloading content 0%" for several minutes - same with game files integrity verification; stuck at 0%. Relaunching Steam, clearing download cache, uninstalling + reinstalling the game all leave the game unable to be launched for 5-10 minutes. It is to a point where nearly every published patch causes the issue.

Many community members, myself included, keep eating exponential leaver penalties as a result of this crash.

Again, this has been happening for a very long time, with seemingly no acknowledgement from Valve.

Pictured here is the magnitude of the penalty I have eaten on my second crash in 2 consecutive days as well as the corrupt file error message returned. This was on a newly installed game following the same crash some 5-10 minutes prior.

I remember troubleshooting a similar issue with street fighter 6 on steam. When I try tried to verify integrity of game files for that game, it was stuck at 0% for some reason. I remember searching for fixes and there were specific files I had to delete to fix it, but I can't recall what it was. Can't seem to find the post anymore either..

Try to reinstall the game on a completely different drive for now if you can.
