Invited my brother to play a few games. While we were in a party, we went to the sandbox hero select screen and I locked in Ivy while he was reading each hero's abilities. After a minute or so I would crash. This happened multiple times, but once we got into the sandbox game it worked fine.
Then we went into a few bot matches as a party. And in every game one of us would crash at the start and have to rejoin, at which point we were technically no longer in a party, and then the rest of the game went smoothly.

I think this is somehow related to attempting to use the party voice chat only setting. In our first bot match I had forgot to set it to party chat only, and was using all team chat and neither of us crashed that game. (3055183) We are both using open mic, and I noticed that the party voice chat only mode doesn't work as I would assume it would. Despite the setting, our entire team could hear us talking; even before one of us crashed and therefore left the party.
