Out of curiosity, besides the minions are there other areas of the game that you think should be a focus for color blind support? For example are you able to differentiate the different lanes easily enough as it is or would you like to see that changed too?
It's always how colours interact with each other. Different lighting conditions etc. Give me the green or the red on its own on a white background and it would be easier for sure.
It's mainly the minions for me. Sometimes in the heat of a team battle its a bit more overwhelming and I find myself popping some rounds at teammates too though. Coming off of a zipline and clearing a wave lots of my bullets are wasted on my own minions. Granted some of this could be a skill issue

haha. In the replays even the bodies of the candle minions is are good colour and contrasts to make this more distinguishable even without HP bars.
The Amber VS Saphire is an example of a good contrast. Similar to Rocket League. Team colours would be great. They could also have a few elements on skins and weapons that change depending on team etc.
As for abilities and items it's not so bad for me. The lanes are easy enough for me (Red/Green Colourblind) I've heard some others have struggled a little.
Most games like this do eventually have some kind of support. Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm are good examples for me. I would love to have some kind of pallet or slider to choose from for enemies, friendly and maybe even another colour for party members.
A blanket filter of "tritanopia, deuteranopia, and protanopia" does not typically work for me as this would change the shades of all colours. In most scenarios it creates unrealistic colours that don't match the vision or style intended. This isn't needed or useful (for me atleast) as the colour of grass should be the colour of grass and the sky the colour of the sky.
