If you close the buy menu too quickly before assigning an imbue or an item slot, the game will crash if you try to do so.
This is also brought up in this thread.
Furthermore, if you need to sell an item to make space but you close the menu too fast, it won't crash but it will softlock your game if the buttons overlap with the UI. This is shown in a video in this thread.
