Character switching during Hero Training

When playing Hero training, why not allow for players to change characters in-game?
It gets pretty dull having to exit out of the practice match, go trough multiple menus, then choosing a new character to practice with.
Why not have the ability to switch to a new character during the training match, the basic challenges or the match itself could restart and allow for new players to more easily get the hang of playing characters new to them?

Just play the sandbox mode directly? It's the same thing basically, just without the tutorial script. Hold alt for the cheat menu, there you can change the hero.
